The Minister of the Capital Territory, Lawyer Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, has expressed his condolences to the former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, over the death of his mother, Chief Florence Morenike Saraki.

Barr. Wike, who spoke during a condolence visit to the former Senate President’s residence in Abuja on Friday, July 5, 2024, urged him to find solace in the fact that his mother played her role in life and had turned towards God.

He also prayed that Almighty God would strengthen Senator Saraki, whom he described as a good and trustworthy friend, and give him and other members of his family the courage to move forward with their lives.

He said: “As believers, we all know that the day will come when we will all leave. She came, did her part, left and I know she will be with God Almighty.

“We pray that God gives him, his siblings and the entire family strength and wealth to live and do things.”

The minister was accompanied during the visit by, among others, former Deputy Speaker of the House, Prince Chibudum Nwuche, and Senator Philip Aduda.
