The Committee of Youth on Mobilization and Sensitization (CYMS) has appointed Mrs. Amarah Joseph as its substantive Administrative Officer, in a move aimed at strengthening governance and institutional growth.
The appointment was announced at the first National Executive Meeting of the organisation held on Wednesday at its national office.
The appointment letter, dated Jan. 28, 2026 and signed by the Director-General of CYMS, Chief Obinna Nwaka, was formally presented to Mrs. Joseph during the meeting.
The ceremony was witnessed by key members of the National Executive, including Comrade Ahmed Sanni, FCT Coordinator; Hajia Baiyee Aisha, Director of Finance; Prince Adeyemi Qudus, Director of Logistics; Hon. Kelechi Ugwumba, Director of Contacts and Mobilisation; and the Director-General, Chief Nwaka.
Speaking at the meeting, members of the executive expressed confidence in Mrs. Joseph’s capacity to enhance the administrative efficiency of the organisation, noting that her appointment would strengthen coordination, documentation and overall operational effectiveness.
Mrs. Joseph holds a degree in English Literature and a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Communication from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
She previously served as Programme and Administrative Support Officer at Strategy and Innovation for Development Initiative (SI4Dev), where she conducted community needs assessments, prepared work plans and facilitated partnerships with development partners and donors.
In her remarks, Mrs. Joseph thanked the leadership of CYMS for the confidence reposed in her and pledged to discharge her duties with dedication, transparency and professionalism.
She said her focus would be on improving administrative systems and supporting the realisation of the organisation’s objectives.
CYMS congratulated Mrs. Joseph on her appointment and expressed optimism that her experience and leadership would contribute significantly to the advancement of the organisation’s programmes and mandate.
