Husk Power Systems has been recognised with the Technovators Award in the Renewables category at the 2026 Future Energy Leaders Awards Show (FELAS), highlighting its contribution to advancing clean energy solutions in emerging markets.
The award was presented during the 2026 FELAS event held on March 23 at Le Méridien in New Delhi, India. The platform is widely regarded as one of the largest gatherings focused on innovation and leadership within the global energy sector, celebrating achievements in renewable energy and sustainable technologies.
In a statement released in Abuja, the Country Director of Husk Power Nigeria, Olu Aruike, expressed appreciation for the recognition, noting that it reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to expand energy access and support sustainable development.
He emphasised that the organisation remains committed to delivering reliable and affordable clean energy, particularly to underserved and off-grid communities across Africa and Asia. According to him, the award also acknowledges the company’s role in improving livelihoods and supporting economic activities through innovative energy solutions.
Aruike further noted that Husk Power has consistently prioritised adherence to international standards and operational best practices since its establishment in 2008. He described compliance as a key factor behind the company’s steady growth and ability to expand into multiple regions over the years.
He added that recognition from global platforms such as FELAS serves as motivation for emerging companies to adopt responsible and sustainable approaches in their operations, especially in rapidly evolving energy markets.
The company continues to leverage advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, to deliver solar and energy storage solutions that ensure a consistent and efficient power supply. These systems are designed to support households, small businesses, and larger commercial users with scalable and long-term energy options.
According to Aruike, Husk Power also plans to deepen its collaboration with development partners to help address the significant energy access gap affecting millions of people, particularly in Africa.
Husk Power operates an AI-enabled distributed energy platform that delivers renewable power to communities with limited or no access to electricity. Its solutions are designed to integrate with existing grid systems while providing environmentally sustainable and cost-effective alternatives.
The company’s recognition at FELAS 2026 underscores the growing importance of clean energy innovation in addressing global energy challenges and promoting inclusive economic development.
