President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Abdullahi Suleiman Ango as Mandatory Secretary of the new Youth Development Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Office Of The Minister said, the strategic appointment marks an important milestone in the administration’s ongoing efforts to prioritize youth development and empowerment in the Federal Capital Territory.
The Youth Development Secretariat will serve as a robust administrative structure to coordinate youth-related issues within the FCT and will also serve as a veritable platform for the implementation of youth policies and programmes as well as the acquisition of training, entrepreneurship and leadership skills.
Mr. Abullahi Ango brings to this vital role a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to youth rights advocacy. His vast experience in public administration and previous contributions to youth empowerment initiatives make him the ideal choice to lead this new Secretariat.
Among the positions he will hold under his new appointment are: FCT Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, 2018 to date; Member, Independent Grassroots Presidential Campaign Council; Director, Youth and Mobilisation Directorate, FCT Senatorial Elections; Publicity Secretary, Tinubu/Shettima Arewa Youths; and Member, FCT Universal Basic Education Council (2023).
Abdullahi Ango hails from Kuje in FCT and holds a BA in International Studies from ABU Zaria, an MA in International Relations from Nasarawa State University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from Nasarawa State University.
