The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bwari Area Council has officially inaugurated its newly elected executives in a grand ceremony, marking a significant step in strengthening the party’s grassroots structure. The event, attended by party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters, highlighted the party’s commitment to unity, mobilization, and victory in the 2026 elections.
Chairman APC FCT, Hon. Alh. Abdul Malik Usman, while addressing the newly elected officers, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for making the event possible. He emphasized the importance of the inauguration, noting that APC was making fresh history in Bwari Area Council.
“For a long time, we have experienced crises regarding who the authentic executive members of this party are, from the ward to the state level. However, by the grace of God, the authentic executives have now been made known, and the national executive has taken decisive action by inaugurating the state executive council,” Hon. Usman stated.
He further affirmed that the national chairman had directed the state leadership to conduct the inauguration, ensuring that only duly elected representatives assumed leadership positions. “Your names were chosen among thousands of APC supporters in Bwari Area Council. You are not better than others, but you are chosen by God to lead this party at this time,” he added.
Hon. Usman reassured party members that the executive committee would oversee operations in the area council and at the ward levels, encouraging them to uphold their responsibilities diligently. He stressed that the newly inaugurated leaders were the authentic executives of Bwari Area Council and called on the council chairman to visit the state office to complete the necessary formalities for a smooth transition.
Hajia Salamatu Bello Jubri, the newly appointed APC Women Leader, addressed the gathering, urging women to remain hopeful and committed. She assured them that their efforts would not go unnoticed, promising to mobilize women across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to support the party’s goals.
“This is the time for women to rise and be counted. We will work hard, mobilize our people, and ensure that the Chairman rewards our efforts with appointments and programs that benefit us. Women will not be left behind this time,” she declared.
Hon. Solomon Ayuba Dagami, former Education Secretary of Bwari Area Council, highlighted the significance of the newly integrated executive team. He congratulated the State Chairman and the new executives, urging them to remain committed to the party’s vision. He also expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to take over the council in the coming elections, calling for unity and cooperation among members.
“We have trusted our party executives, and today, we are integrating them for another term. This is a testament to our faith in their leadership. Let us all work together to ensure victory,” he said.
Hon. Yahaya Isa, former BOT member of the ANPP, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the importance of commitment and unity in achieving the party’s goals. He called on the new executives to uphold the party’s values and work diligently to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
“Our presence here today is a testament to our commitment to taking over power in the Area Council. We must all work together, from the grassroots to the national level, to ensure the APC’s success. Let us protect our votes and ensure that the party’s vision is realized,” he said.
In his closing remarks, Hon. Dr. Musa Dikko, former Executive Chairman of Bwari Area Council and Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), appealed for peace and unity within the party, emphasizing the need to focus on the 2026 elections. He also expressed his willingness to mediate in any party disputes, ensuring that the APC remains strong and united.
“What matters now is the 2026 election. We must put aside our differences and work together to achieve our common goal. I will be visiting the State Chairman to discuss how we can maintain peace and unity within the party,” he said.
The event also featured the official inauguration of the new executives for the Area Council. The State Working Committee, led by the State Chairman, announced the names of the newly appointed officials, including the Party Chairman, Vice Chairman, and other key positions. The newly inaugurated executives were urged to serve with integrity and dedication, as they are now the authentic representatives of the party in the council.
