On *Monday, July 23, 2025*, *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu* commissioned the newly constructed *15-kilometre A2 to Pai access road* in *Kwali Area Council*, affirming his administration’s commitment to boosting rural infrastructure and unlocking economic opportunities in underserved communities.
Speaking through the *Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives*, President Tinubu described the project as a major leap forward in connecting rural areas to national development.
“This road opens up new possibilities—ranching, agriculture, and local prosperity. What was once a challenge will now become a source of income and peace for our people,” he stated.
The President assured residents that the federal government remains focused on inclusive development and vowed to continue delivering infrastructure projects that bring real benefits to Nigerians, especially in rural communities.
“We won’t stop. We’ll keep going until every Nigerian, from the city to the village, feels the presence of good governance,” he added.
President Tinubu praised FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike, for addressing grassroots needs and referred to him as Mr. Project”, acknowledging his hands-on leadership in bridging the gap between rural communities and the federal government.
In his remarks, *Minister Wike* shared that since *May 29, 2023*, the FCT Administration has completed and commenced over 150km of road projects* across satellite towns and area councils, supporting not only infrastructure but also *education, agriculture, and security*.
Wike recalled requesting the President to commission a rural road to demonstrate the government’s outreach beyond urban centres, describing the reception from local residents as a symbol of hope and inclusion.
He noted the A2 to Pai road’s significance as a *gateway to the ongoing Pai–Gomani project**, which spans 15km and is scheduled for completion by **December 2025**. Additionally, a 13km Gomani–Yangoji extension* is in the works, bringing the network in that corridor to a total of 45km
Minister Wike listed several key road projects completed under the 2023 supplementary budget, including:

Wike stressed that these roads go beyond transportation—they strengthen security, improve food logistics, and increase property values, especially in previously neglected communities.
“We’re not just building roads; we’re building access to opportunity and prosperity,” he said, while encouraging communities to cooperate and assured that genuine farmers will be supported with land compensation to enhance food security.
Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, represented by **Mrs. Grace Adayilo, thanked President Tinubu for backing rural inclusion, and commended Wike for aligning infrastructure with national priorities.
Hon. Abdulkadir Zulkiflu, Coordinator of the Satellite Town Development Department, explained that the A2–Pai road, awarded to Zeberced Construction Ltd. in November 2024, was completed ahead of schedule and features modern streetlights and full engineering utilities, spurring new businesses in the area.
HRH Alhaji Sani Abubakar, the Sarkin Pai, expressed deep gratitude to the President and Minister Wike for bringing transformation to the area. He noted the community’s large turnout at the event as proof of widespread appreciation.
Mr. Adil Aiden Kurt**, Managing Director of **Zeberced Construction Ltd, celebrated the project as their company’s first in Nigeria, completed in record time. Proudly identifying as a Nigerian citizen, he said:
“Everything we earn here, we reinvest back into the country. We’re building value, not just roads.”
