The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bwari Area Council stands today at a very critical crossroads. The recently concluded APC Bwari primary election has produced Hon. Shekwolo Audi and Hon. Joshua Ishaku Musa as the party’s flag bearer, However sparking a dispute that has now moved to the courts.
While the legal battle continues, one truth must remain clear, a divided house cannot stand. The APC in Bwari must close ranks if we are to secure victory in the upcoming elections and prevent the opposition from capitalizing on our differences.
Both Hon. Shekwolo Audi and Hon. Joshua are respected leaders who have made significant contributions to the growth of our party and community. Their zeal to serve the people of Bwari is commendable. Yet, as the Bible reminds us, “Power belongs to God” (Psalm 62:11). Leadership is not decided by man alone; God gives authority to whomever He chooses, at the time He appoints.
It may be your turn today, and tomorrow it may be for another. Accepting this divine truth is key to achieving peace, unity, and progress.
If this internal crisis continues, the most significant losers will not be Shekwolo or Joshua—it will be the APC in Bwari and the people who deserve good governance. The APC Bwari elections 2025 are critical, and the opposition is waiting to take advantage of any cracks in our structure.
Unity is a political necessity. When we are united, we are unbeatable; when divided, we become vulnerable. This is why both aspirants must rise above personal ambition and prioritise the interests of the APC in the Bwari Area Council.
It is within one’s constitutional right to seek legal redress. However, we must not allow prolonged disputes to weaken our campaign and open the door for another party to take control of the council. Beyond court judgments, our collective goal must be the same, to deliver APC victory and bring development to Bwari.
This is the time for reconciliation, not rivalry. Party elders and stakeholders must step in as peacemakers, guiding both leaders toward dialogue and compromise.
The six Area Councils of the FCT, including Bwari, need strong Leadership to drive grassroots development. But strong Leadership can only emerge from a united political platform. Our President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has championed the Renewed Hope Agenda*, and its success at the local level depends on our ability to remain one family under APC.
Let this be a moment where our leaders demonstrate that authentic Leadership is not just about winning elections, but also about humility, patience, and the willingness to accept God’s will. Let us remember that the APC is bigger than any individual aspiration. Today may not be your turn, but tomorrow may be. Remain steadfast, loyal, and committed to the vision of our great party.
Let us embrace peace, accept God’s timing, and unite to secure victory for the APC in Bwari.
United we win. Divided we lose. The choice is ours.
