As preparations intensify for the Bwari Area Council election scheduled for Saturday, 21 February 2026, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have been called upon to close ranks and work together to secure victory at the polls.
The call follows the Supreme Court’s final judgment in the long-standing dispute between Honourable Audi Shekwolo and Honourable Josuah Ishaku Musa over the party’s candidacy. In its ruling, the apex court affirmed Honourable Josuah Ishaku Musa as the authentic and recognised APC candidate for the Bwari Area Council chairmanship election, bringing clarity to months of legal contest.
Party stakeholders and grassroots mobilisers say the judgment marks a turning point, urging members and supporters to move forward in unity and focus on the larger goal of electoral success.
In a message directed at party faithful and residents across the area council, supporters emphasised the importance of collective participation in the democratic process.
“As we approach the February 21 election, we must see ourselves as one family. This is the time to mobilise our friends, families, and neighbours to come out en masse and vote. Every vote counts, and together we can secure victory through our shared effort.”
The appeal also referenced lessons from past elections, particularly the 2022 AMAC Area Council poll, which many APC supporters believe was lost due to internal divisions and low turnout among party loyalists.
Political observers note that voter mobilisation and unity within party ranks are likely to play a decisive role in determining the outcome of the election, especially in a competitive environment where turnout often shapes results.
With just days to go, party supporters continue grassroots engagement across communities, encouraging eligible voters to participate peacefully and responsibly in the electoral process.
As election day draws nearer, the central message from APC supporters remains clear: unity, participation, and collective action will be key to shaping the future leadership of Bwari Area Council.
