On this blessed occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, I extend my warmest greetings, on behalf of the FCT Administration to the entire Muslim Ummah and all residents of the Federal Capital Territory, as we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon Him).
This day serves not only as a profound reminder of the virtues, values, and teachings of the Holy Prophet, who embodied compassion, humility, and justice but is also an opportunity for us to come together as residents of the FCT to reaffirm our commitment to the values of tolerance, love, and kindness that he so tirelessly preached.
It is a time for us to remember the importance of empathy and the virtues of togetherness that should guide our interactions with one another.
The Prophet’s life offers timeless lessons in the pursuit of peace, unity, and moral excellence. As we reflect on his example, let us embrace these principles in our daily interactions, fostering harmony and understanding among the diverse communities in the FCT.
Let us imbibe the virtues of patience, tolerance, and a renewed commitment to the development of the FCT. The progress and prosperity of the FCT depends on our collective efforts. Together, we can build a society where everyone thrives in peace and security, just as the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) envisioned a just and equitable society.
Let us also take a moment to pray for our nation, Nigeria, and her leaders at all levels as we strive for stability, growth, and the well-being of all citizens.
I also take this special occasion to reaffirm the FCT Administration’s unwavering commitment to meeting our obligations to you, the valued citizens of the Federal Capital Territory.
We will continue to work hard to provide essential infrastructure and services to enhance your quality of life. Continue to be assured that we are dedicated to improving our city’s infrastructure and all other social facilities and human development.
In the spirit of this special occasion, I also call upon each one of you to meet your obligations to the government and society, and continue to contribute your quota to the growth and progress of the FCT.
I also express my gratitude to the law enforcement agencies, and all essential service providers who continue to work tirelessly to keep the FCT safe and functioning.
Once again, on behalf of the FCT Administration, I wish you all a peaceful, joyous and memorable Eid-el-Maulud.
