As preparations intensify for Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, Hon. Mrs. Ngozi Egbunike, popularly known as “Mama Future,” has obtained the All Progressives Congress nomination form to contest the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, May 4, 2026. She said her campaign is anchored on inclusive governance and grassroots-driven development, positioning herself as a candidate focused on practical solutions to longstanding community challenges.
Egbunike’s entry into the race reflects the growing political participation of women in Nigeria, particularly at the legislative level, where representation has historically been limited. Her campaign slogan, “A Divine Project & People’s Manifesto,” underscores a message of service, accountability and collective progress. Political observers say her candidacy could reshape the dynamics of the AMAC/Bwari contest, especially among women and young voters seeking more inclusive representation.
Central to her manifesto is education, which she described as the foundation of sustainable development. She pledged to support the renovation of public schools, improve access to learning materials and expand digital education tools. Egbunike also promised scholarships for indigent students, noting that financial barriers continue to limit access to quality education in many communities within the constituency.
Healthcare forms another pillar of her agenda, with a focus on strengthening primary healthcare delivery systems. She said her plan includes advocating for better staffing, improved medical supplies and expanded outreach programs. Particular attention, she added, would be given to maternal and child healthcare, areas that remain critical in reducing preventable deaths and improving community well-being.

On infrastructure and constituency development, Egbunike outlined plans for equitable distribution of projects across AMAC/Bwari. She identified access to clean water, road rehabilitation and the development of community centers as key priorities. She stressed that transparency would guide the execution of these projects, aiming to rebuild public trust in constituency-based interventions.
Security and economic growth are also prominent in her policy proposals. Egbunike pledged to advocate for improved street lighting and collaborate with relevant authorities to enhance neighborhood safety. She said safer communities would encourage business activities and attract investment at the local level.
Her manifesto places strong emphasis on women and youth empowerment, proposing skill acquisition programs, entrepreneurship support and access to micro-financing. Analysts note that such initiatives, if effectively implemented, could address unemployment and stimulate grassroots economic growth in the constituency.
In the legislative arena, Egbunike promised to sponsor bills and motions that promote human capital development while ensuring that constituents’ voices are represented in national policymaking. She said her approach would prioritize accessibility and regular engagement with the people she seeks to represent.
Agriculture and small business development also feature prominently in her plans. She pledged to support farmers with modern inputs and techniques, while facilitating access to markets and funding opportunities for small-scale entrepreneurs.

As party primaries approach, Egbunike has called for widespread support, describing the election as a defining moment for AMAC/Bwari. “This is about building a future that works for everyone,” she said, urging constituents to rally behind her vision for inclusive growth and sustainable development.
