    The entire people people of Epe Kingdom in Ondo East Local government area of Ondo State are poised to once again write a resplendent chapter in its rich traditional and cultural history as they prepares to host who is who across the country and even beyond during coming 2026 Odun Oba Epe Kingdom. During a world press conference with Journalist hosted by the Epe palace cabinet, Chiefs and planning Committee of the occasion lead by High Chief Odunwo of Epe Kingdom, High Chief Adekunle Oyewole Akande, said the nine days program which was started with press conference and palace chiefs and Planning Committee’s meeting is not going to be just festival but a convergence of who is who across the country including Sons and Daughters of Epe Kingdom. According to high Chief Odunwo, “the Odun Oba Epe Kingdom is a festival of cultural heritage, tradition, unity of purpose and communal pride which attract Sons and Daughters of Epe Kingdom, Ondo State Government, traditional rulers and Chiefs across the state, friends of the community and invited special guests of honour.” He reiterated further that the event will be hosted by the first class king in Ondo state His Royal Majesty Oba Isaac Oyebade Akinkuade, the Yangede of Epe Kingdom while the governor of Ondo state His Excellency Gov. Lucky AYEDATIWA and OONI of ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Ogunwusi will be the Special Guest of honour and Royal father of the day respectively. Chief Odunwo said Odun Oba Epe Kingdom is gradually becoming an international festival and will soon become a synosure of all eyes and the world at large. He said this year event has been packaged with Aso Oke as the dressing code so as to showcase and reflect both cultural, tradition and modern aspiration of Epe people in Ondo state. He promised that this year festival will awarded the best dress personality during the event. The grand finale program has been scheduled to hold on Sunday 12th July, 2026. Present during the press conference were high Chief Adekunle Oyewole Akande, the Odunwo of Epe Kingdom, high Chief Isaac Akinsipe, Chief Adedotun Akande, Chief Awofemi Araba, Chief Odole Temidayo, Chief Mrs Adejo Eunice, Chief Afolabi Lomofe, Chief Mrs Erelu Akinlolu and Chief Lobosin Peter Mathew. Others are Chief Ibijoke Philip, Chief Bukola Olapade, Chief Mulikat Yusuf, Chief Akindun Olanrewaju, and Palace Secretary, Mr Adejo Sunday. Epe Kingdom in Ondo state is a distinct community, often associated with the Yangede of Epe tittle and should not be confused with the larger Epe in Lagos state. As a matter of fact, the pronunciation of the two towns is completely different. Epe Kingdom in Ondo state is a serene traditional Kingdom situated within Ondo state, recognized for its local leadership, exposed, intellectual Sons and Daughters and cultural heritage. Epe Kingdom also serve as source for many other larger towns across yoruba race. It is also a Kingdom where Oduduwa disappeared into the ground during his visit to twins in Epe Kingdom in those days.
